On Friday 25 March, the Flemish space sec­tor will be organ­is­ing in Leuven a sem­i­nar The Flemish space econ­o­my: inspir­ing, inno­vat­ing, stim­u­lat­ing, con­nect­ing” and a job fair with com­pa­nies and organ­i­sa­tions from the space sector.

The sem­i­nar takes place in the con­text of the Belgian Astronaut Week and is organ­ised in response to the approval of the Flemish impulse pro­gramme for the space econ­o­my (Flanders Space). This event was planned for the autumn of 2021, but was post­poned due to the Corona measures.

The pro­gramme is aimed at com­pa­nies, pro­fes­sion­als and edu­ca­tion. STEM stu­dents with ambi­tions to start a career in space can get in touch with Flemish space actors via a job fair on 25 March. The job fair starts at 9.30 am and ends around 6 pm.

Flemish Minister for Innovation Hilde Crevits will present the main lines of the Flemish space pro­gramme dur­ing the sem­i­nar. Astronaut Frank De Winne will also be present and will shed light on recent devel­op­ments in this fas­ci­nat­ing field. Experts from the sec­tor and from the European Space Agency (ESA) com­plete the programme.

Participation in the sem­i­nar is free, but reg­is­tra­tion is required. You can reg­is­ter until Friday 18 March 2022. It is not nec­es­sary to reg­is­ter for the job fair It is freely accessible.

Those who were already reg­is­tered last year, do not have to do any­thing and are auto­mat­i­cal­ly re-reg­is­tered for this edition!
